As a Senior accountant in Budoor Baghdad construction company across Iraq. He was directly reporting to the CFO about the financials, project cost (reporting over monthly cost of the project), managing inventory carrying out regular audits on month end, managing related party balances and its reconciliations, managing cash in local and foreign currency (USD) and taking effect of foreign currency in books as well. He was also part of team involved in SAP implementation for its Baghdad project only as company was having different projects across the Iraq.
During his ongoing association with the company, he was assigned to work with clients for their bookkeeping over different software from different industries restaurants, Dental clinics & other service industries also, prepared its monthly reporting and financials as well.
He was involved in system implementation at the restaurant worked over its recipes along with chef and stock consumption reports and identify variances in stock and make regular analysis for the cost of the individual dishes served at the restaurant that helps management to set its selling prices.
Prepare and review monthly financials records and identify any changes in sales, purchases and other costs associated, along with the reasons for changes therein. Ensuring bookkeeping having strict adherence to company policies and in accordance with local regulations. Ensuring internal controls are followed strictly as designed or change becomes necessary for effective results. Prepared budgets, forecasts and providing historical data & market trends.
Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing financial insights and projections. Ensuring accuracy and efficiency of the financial records kept as per local regulations and company policies, building effective teams and strategic & financial planning and analysis.
