Arafat is a Managing Partner and Risk & Compliance Advisory Leader in Compliance 360 Consultants. He is also serving as Partner in GSS Management Consultancy and Chartered Accountants, he is a key member of GSS Advisory Board. Arafat has proven track record of successful leadership roles in Internal Audit and Risk Management in various companies in UAE.

Prior to joining Compliance 360 and GSS Group, he was leading Internal Audit function of Emirates District Cooling (EMICOOL). He successfully leads Internal Control function of Union Properties (UP)PJSC for six years, where he was interacting with regulators such as DLD and ESCA and successfully delivered their compliance requirements.

He has vast experience of more than 19 years at various levels in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and South Africa. He has worked with Ernst & Young (E&Y), PricewaterhouseCoopers, Union Properties and assist many blue chip companies to establish their Governance Framework and Control Mechanism. He has specific experience to implement AML regulation control framework for major bank of South Africa.

Arafat is a qualified Chartered Accountant with Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), and Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA – UK).
