Nauman has more than 16 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, and Risk Advisory services within the Financial Services industry in the Middle East, UK, and USA. He had worked in PwC offices in Dubai and London before joining Ford Credit Europe (FCE) Bank (Regulated Bank in the USA and UK) and later with an FTSE 100 Global Asset Management Company with £400 Billion AUM in London. 

His experience includes reviews of the Financial Crime Unit of the Royal Bank of Scotland, (NatWest Bank) and FCE Bank. He led the teams to perform reviews of client onboarding processes including AML / KYC checks, sanctions screening; ongoing transactions monitoring, sanctions monitoring, and processes relating to sanctions reporting / regular reporting to the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) UK. His work included designing tests with the Data Analytics team to identify sanctions/breaches in payment transactions. In his role as a Senior Audit Manager in an Asset Management company in London, he has performed internal audit reviews of the Second Line Financial Crime Department. 

Nauman was seconded to Ford Credit World Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan - USA to conduct a review of the Basel Pillar 2A risk models (Operational Risk and Capital Concentration Risk) and Credit Rating Models (PoP / PoD models) developed by the FCE’s Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDI&A) team. He worked with KPMG as Subject Matter Expert to design tests for the review design and effectiveness of controls over model governance, model documentation, output validation, monitoring, and reporting processes.

During his time with PwC Middle East, he has performed Internal Audit and Compliance engagements for the Bank of Sharjah, Shuaa Capital, Ajman Bank, Mawarid Finance, Tadawul (Saudi Stock Exchange), State General Reserve Fund (SGRF) (Sovereign Wealth Fund of Oman) and Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) Abu Dhabi. 

Nauman is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA – UK).
